What happens next?
Once you decide on the package that is right for your home or business we will provide you with a full quote and invoice with all associated costs involved with your installation. We will also include a timeline for your installation based on your region. We will endeavor to met our predicted install times as long as the following requirements are meet
To proceed with your order simply return a copy of your signed Sales Agreement (if applicable) for the system you have agreed to purchase. (1st page only).
NOTE: retain a copy of the terms and conditions attached with the sales agreement for your reference.
Send deposit or full payment (whichever is applicable) for your system via the payment method of your choice. We can currently accept all major credit cards, bank transfer payments, paypal and cash.
Once we have confirmation of you payment our Accounts Department will update your file and send you a receipt via the post or you can request for your receipt to be emailed to you instead.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure you quote your Reference ID number and surname on all payment correspondence any delays in tracking your payment could cause delays in your installation schedule.
When steps 1 & 2 have been updated in our system, as a courtesy to all of our customers, NZolar will send you a Grid Connection Application form for the Electricity Supplier in your area.
You will be required to fill out this form in order to have your solar power system connected to the national grid in order to export energy back. We will not install your system until we have confirmation that your grid connection has been approved in case you decide to change your system type or cancel your installation. In most cases we can make adjustments to your solar system package to meet the grid connection requirements and complete your installation
Sign and return the Grid Connection Application form with your NMI CODE – National Meter Identifier – (this can be found on your Electricity Power Bill) and NZolar will then submit this form on your behalf to your Electricity Supplier.
If you require any help in filling out this form please contact our customer care team and we can guide you through the application process.
PLEASE NOTE: Please ensure the name & signature on the Grid Connection Application form matches the name of the Account Holder on your Electricity Power Bill and that you fill in this form correctly. Any discrepancies in paper work can delay your installation schedule.
When all of the above steps have been completed your application will now be ready for stock allocation. You will be sent a Payment Request either by letter or email (you set your preference on your sales contract on your preferred method of contact) for the balance outstanding (if applicable) from our Finance Team.
Please make payment as soon as possible to ensure to meet your installation timeline requirements any delays in payment can delay your installation
When this payment has been confirmed on your file, the Accounts Department will alert the Installation Team to proceed with your order.
When your stock has been allocated you will hear direct from the Installation Department either by letter or email advising of this. We keep all our stock in our warehouse in Christchurch, New Zealand and also in the Gold Coast, Australia. We will also notify you immediately if there are any delays in stock allocation.
We aim to have your solar system installed within four weeks of receiving your full payment.
In most cases we will be able to install you within 2 weeks of payment, in some advertised special offers we will also offer payment at time of installation however these payment options are only available in designated regions we have dedicated active install team servicing
Your stock has now been dispatched to your local installer. At your request we can deliver your stock to your property directly instead of your local installer however this is not recommended unless you have suitable undercover storage to hold your new solar power system. You will hear from the Installation Department either by letter or email advising of this and an estimated install date.
Your local Installer will contact you directly with your scheduled installation date and time.
All of our installers schedule their own installs (depending on weather) and work in two week scheduling blocks they will need to contact you via telephone to arrange access to your property.
Our installation and safety policies require you to be present at the time of installation to review the installation and sign the mandatory paperwork. Please ensure you are home prior to when your installer is scheduled to visit as this may cause delays if the installer has to reschedule his installation time.
Your installer will provide you with your installation details including all your product manuals and warranty information for your products.
You will be required to activate your Total Care Promise warranty online at www.totalcarepromise.com within 30 days of installation. Your installer will leave you with a warranty activation card with all the information you need to activate your warranty package
CONGRATULATIONS your solar system has now been installed by NZolar. The installer will now notify your Electricity Supplier by submitting a completion of works.
This process can take approximately three-six weeks to be processed by your Electricity Supplier before they attend your property to commission your system.
If you have any concerns regarding your installation please don't hesitate to contact our customer care team through our support pages online.
Remember to activate your warranty online within 30 days of installation at www.totalcarepromise.com.
